I help run a wedding event venue in Birmingham AL. We have lots of candles at our events, many of which are brought in by the bride and groom. Please pick candles that are not “smokey”. Cheap candles tend to leave a lot of soot in the air and we have been warned by our fire alarm company that if there are a lot of them, they can set off the very sensitive fire/smoke alarms! Not a way to celebrate your wedding. SO… purchase one and test it.. if it is smokey do not use them!
