{diy Wedding Ideas} Guest Sparklers

What a great way to leave your wedding! Can you imagine all your guests having a lit sparkler as you depart your wedding reception. Don’t forget to have your photographer on hand.  You also want to make sure you get the appropriate kind of sparkler. Yes that is correct! There are different burn times depending on the length of the sparkler.

10″ long, burn time 55 sec
14″ long, burn time 1 min & 22 sec
20″ long, burn time 2 min & 32 sec
36″ long, burn time 5 min & 20 sec

Fun and romantic. Don’t forget the lighters! This creative idea is very budget friendly.

I’d love to walk out down a sparkler avenue, but I’d be scared that there’d be at least one burns incident I think!

How would you coordinate this? I really want to do one for my wedding but I’m not sure how it would work. Who would light them and how would they all be lit at the same time?

Hi Kassie – I would get matches. Matches bought in bulk with nothing on the covers are cheap. Wrap each one with the sparklers. Assign a few people on both sides of the wedding party to help get everyone in place. Have your MOH {Maid-of-Honor} come get you two when everyone is ready. Have someone say “Light Your Sparklers Now!” When the your MOH says go – walk out the door or into the pathway, don’t forget to have someone taking pictures and make your exit. Anyone else have any ideas to share?
